1.  It is a CRIME to drive with a suspended license.

Driving with a suspended license is a criminal offense in Texas.  It is a Class C Misdemeanor with a punishment range of up to a $500.00 fine to knowingly drive a vehicle with an invalid or suspended license.  Getting caught driving with a previous conviction or after being suspended for a DWI is a Class B misdemeanor which carries a penalty of up to 6 months in jail and up to a $2,000.00 fine.

2.  Your license may be subject to suspension for many reasons.

In Texas, your license can be suspended for many reasons including:

  • DWI conviction

  • State drug offense conviction

  • Failure to take a breath test during a DWI stop (even if the case is dismissed!)

  • Too many moving violations within a certain time period (4 tickets with a year or 7 within 2 years)

  • Failure to pay child support, etc..

3.  You can be arrested even if you didn't know you license was suspended.

If a police officers stops you, runs a computer check on your license, and it comes back suspended he can arrest you on the spot even if you were unaware your license was suspended.   Even if you are given a citation and a notice to appear in court, you will not be able to leave the scene by driving.

4.  Your license can be subject to multiple suspensions!

For example, your license may be suspended for 1.) habitual traffice violations, 2.) a DWI conviction, and 3.) failing to pay surcharges all at the same time!   Even if you clear up one suspension, the other suspensions may remain and you may still be subject to arrest if pulled over.

5.  We can get you back in the driver's seat again!

If your license is suspended or you think it may be suspended call us.  We can assist you in obtaining an occupational license from both criminal and civil courts.  Occupational licenses allow people with suspensions to drive on a restricted basis ie, to and from work, or during certain hours.  In some instances we can help get your license reinstated completely.  Let us deal with D.P.S. and the court system so you can get back to driving.
